Granny’s Quilt’s of Love met at 9:30 a.m. March 16 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Mary Margaret conducted the meeting and the prayer was given by Nancy Davis.

There were 19 members in attendance.

The total number of quilts made as of March is 9,821.

Mary Margaret Webb received a thank you note from the pediatric ward at Arkansas Children’s Hospital thanking the group for all the pillows made.

They are actually used in the children’s therapy and of course for the childrento keep for their own.

Mary Margaret received several calls regarding the article in the Arkansas Gazette March 7 about Granny’s Quilts.

There was discussion regarding the dinner and auction to be held Aug. 28 at the high school cafeteria.

Marge Crowder displayed a quilt made by a group of ladies in Arizona.

Also, they made a monetary donation. The quilt will be auctioned at thedinner in August.

Alice Henson will go to Batesville next month to purchase more material for the quilts. There was a discussion to have a minicutting meeting when needed.
