◊SPRING CLASSIC: The NWA Spring Track Classic, hosted by Providence Track Club (AAU), will be April 10 in Bentonville. The divisions include: Boys and Girls Elementary and Junior High, Clubs, Homeschoolers and Elementary Schools. The cost is $15 and athlete may compete in up to five events. Baseball

◊ADULT BASEBALL: The Northwest Arkansas Men’s Senior/Adult Baseball League will hold its first round of tryouts for the 2010 season April 18at 2 p.m. at Bradford Park (Northwest Park) in Rogers. Sessions are for 18-plus and 25-plus divisions. Players should register online at www.nwamsbl.com.

◊CATCHERS NEEDED: The Sport Biomechanics Research Group at theUniversity of Arkansas is seeking softball and baseball catchers of all ages for research on throwing motions. Pitchers can also have their pitching motions analyzed free.
