BBQ dinner and pie auction
The BBQ Dinner and Pie Auction fund-raiser for the Pea Ridge High School Alumni Association will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Pea Ridge Middle School cafeteria. The menu will feature BBQ sandwiches, baked beans and other fixins. The pie auction will begin at 6 p.m.
Proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit the Alumni Scholarship Fund, which provides first-year college scholarships to graduating seniors from Pea Ridge High School.
Pancake breakfast
The Pea Ridge Optimist Club will hold an all-you-caneat pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17. All proceeds will go towards the Pea Ridge High School After-Prom event. Pea Ridge juniors and seniors will help serve breakfast.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 3-12; children 3 and under are free.
Spaghetti dinner for NEBCO
GARFIELD - The NEBCO Volunteer Fire Department will hold their all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Feed fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the NEBCO Community Center, 17823 Marshall St.
The all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner includes a drink, salad, bread and dessert, withspaghetti refills. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for children under 5 years of age.
All proceeds go to the building fund for the new NEBCO VFD fire station No. 2 on Posey Mountain.
Free electronic recycling event
The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, along with Benton County Solid Waste District and others, will sponsor a free electronic recycling event to give the area the opportunity to dispose of electronic waste by reusing or recycling all unwanted electronic materials.
The event will be April 15-17 at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. For more information, call 479-444-1725.
