Drinks for music

Students at Pea Ridge Primary School will have new musical instruments thanks to Sonic.

Sonic has pledged to spend over half a million dollars to fund teacher inspired projects through a website called donorschoose.org. Sonic is currently placing stickers on all their cups. Inside each sticker is a code whereby votes can be cast for a favorite school project on their website limeadesforlearning.com.

April Smith, music teacher at Pea Ridge, is currently the only teacher in the district who has any projects listed on the website. She said she just learned that the program has provided the funds to buy the new elementary four glockenspiels (about a 500 dollar cost).

Saved stickers may be sent to school with students, dropped off at the school or people can go online and enter the codes themselves. To find the projects, search by subject: music and then by location: state: Ark.
