— A second "onepot" methamphetamine lab was discovered in northeast Benton County. The first was discovered Sept. 14 in a trailer on McRae Lane, Pea Ridge.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Benton County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit received information about a possible meth lab in the Avoca area. This tip also indicated not only was the resident on parole and a registered sex offender, but that he had at least two guns in the residence.

With the aforementioned information, investigators contacted the Arkansas State Parole office and were subsequently asked to assist parole officers with a home visit at the residence.

Investigators and parole officers traveled to 13255 Elco Lane, in Rogers, where they conducted a home visit. Subsequent to this visit, investigators located a "one pot" methamphetamine cook, numerous precursors for the manufacture of methamphetamine and two guns inside the residence.

Billy Jack Brown, 53, was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance (class Y felony), possession of a firearm by certain persons (class B felony), simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms (class Y felony) and a parole violation warrant.

As of Monday, Brown was still in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing with additional charges of failure to appear and contempt, both from Rogers District Court.

Christopher Michael Christiansen, 30, and Jenifer Dawn Sauerbry, 29, both of Pea Ridge, were also still in the county jail Monday. They were arrested Sept. 14 in Pea Ridge at the first incident.
