— Military Park Fall hours

Pea Ridge National Military Park superintendent John Scott announced that the park changed its hours.

The Visitor Center will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park's sevenmile-long tour road will be open to vehicles daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the entrance closing at 4:30 p.m.

The tour road will remain open to pedestrians and bicycles only from 5 p.m. to sunset daily. Hiking trails and the horse trail will be open from 8 a.m. to sunset daily as well.

Driver Safety Course

GARFIELD - AARP will be conducting a Driver Safety Program for all who would like to attend from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, at the NEBCO Community Center in Garfield.

The class is open to all and membership in AARP is not necessary. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Many insurance companies offer a premium discount after completing the course. Check with your agent to see what your insurance company offers.
