PEA RIDGE The Flying Mule, a 5K run, will be held preceding the 21st annual Pea Ridge Mule Jump Saturday, Oct. 10.
Registration will begin at 6:45 a.m., with the race starting at 7:30 a.m. Entry fees will be $12 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under.
A one mile run will also be held for kids 14 and under.
Awards will be given to the top three in each age division in the 5K. Large medals will be awarded to the top three in each age in the mile run, with small medals to all other finishers

A "Yard of the Season" contest is being sponsored by the Women's Business Association, which met for their monthly meeting at the Arvest Bank to discuss upcoming projects.
Applications for the fall yard nominations can be picked up at Arvest Bank, Farmers Insurance or Pea Ridge City Hall. Application deadline is Monday, Oct. 19. Winner will receive a $50 gift certificate from The Ground Up Nursery and a "Fall Yard Of The Season" sign to be placed in their yard.
The WBA are sponsors and supporters of the City of Pea Ridge Beautification projects and the Pea Ridge Community Scholarship Foundation. Meetings are at 11:30 a.m. each fourth Thursday of the month in the Arvest Bank front conference room. PLAYFUL PALS
