Optimist Club golf tournament successful

— The recent golf tournament sponsored by the Pea Ridge Optimist Club at Big Sugar Golf Course was a success, according to committee chairman Justin Bradford.

"The Pea Ridge Optimist Club would like to say thank you to our community for making this tournament a success. Thank you to our sponsors and participants that supported this event. We couldn't have asked for a better turnout." Bradford said.

Winners included: First flight - first place, $200, Jason Van Dyke, Justin Bradford, Kiley Keener and Clayton Eason;

second place, $100, Chris Vernelson, Kurt Reither, Z.C. Wilson and Lee Young;

Second flight - first place, $200, Matt Ingram, Richie Winn, Jerry Houy and Wendell Inmel; second place, $100, Edwin Brewer, Chris Brewer, E.J. Brewer and Jason Kincy;

Third flight, first place, $200, Matt Ingram, Richie Winn, Wendell Inmel andJerry Houy; and

Closest to the hole, $25, coach Tony Travis; last place, $20, Charley Clark, Curtis Shannon, Matt Easterling and Aaron Gaffigan;

The last place award was made possible by Billy Henson-The Auto Center.
