— Glen D. Herron

Glen D. Herron, 65, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Springdale, Ark. He was born May 29, 1944, in Bentonville, Ark., to James Herron and Luretha Stout Herron.

He was retired from Franklin Electric.

Survivors include three sons, Leonard Herron and Donnie Herron, both of Sulphur Springs, and Kenny Herron of Springtown, Ark.; his mother, Luretha Herron of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Loyd Herron of Bentonville, Ark., and Willie Herron of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a sister, Nancy Townsend of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Barron Cemetery in Vaughn, Ark.

Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark. Norma Valles Norma Valles, 81, of Pea Ridge, died Friday, Sept. 4, at her home. She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Raymond Bitschy and Elizabeth Rolfe Bitschy.

She moved to Pea Ridge from Anaheim, Calif., in 1988 to make her home. She was a published poet and was awarded "Editor's Choice Award" for outstanding achievement in poetry. She enjoyed music, flower gardening and collecting cats and angels. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Pea Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Renee Valles; and a son, Greg Valles.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Valles of the home; two daughters, Michele Hurtado and husband, Richard, of Temecula, Calif., and Denise Bennett of Lowell, Ark.; one sister, Joan Goddard of Alberta, Canada; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, before the service.

Funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Assembly of God Church in Pea Ridge, with pastor Edward Brewer officiating.

Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

Ann Marie Vo, 49, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, Aug. 31, at her home. She was born June 17, 1960, in North Bend, Wash., to Melvin Leonard Kvamso Sr. and Geraldine Waters Kvamso.

She lived in the area most of her life and enjoyed bargain shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Kvamso Sr. and Geraldine Kvamso; an infant son, Adam Binh Vo; and a brother, Danny Kvamso.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Leslie McDaniel and Ryan McDaniel of Bentonville, Ark.; three sons and two daughters-inlaw, Caley Vo and Haley Vo of Lowell, Ark., Elijah Vo and Ebannie Vo of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lucas Vo of Fayetteville, Ark.; three brothers, Francis B. Wonderlich of Minneapolis, Minn., Melvin Lynn Kvamso Jr. of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Erik Kvamso of Garfield, Ark.; three sisters, Jennifer Gasper of Andover, Kan., Patricia Kay Dean of Grove, Okla., and Tia Hesington of Bella Vista, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 4, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gordon Bezel.

Cremation arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
