MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will begin their fall season from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at Bella Vista Christian. They meet the second and fourth Thursday of each month. All moms and their pre-kindergarten children are invited to join these mornings. Free on-site childcare and activities are provided at each meeting. First Baptist Church Garfield

Pastor Jack Maddox will preach from 1 John during the 10:30 Sunday morning worship service.

A men's Bible study will be from 6 - 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. It will be "Men's Fraternity Quest for Authentic Manhood." The first session will run for 13 weeks and will end before the holidays. All men from the church and community are encouraged to attend. First Baptist Church Pea Ridge

The Angel Food Ministries is a program that offers food to anyone in need; there are no qualifications necessary. Orders for meals are taken twice per month and can feed a family of four for a week for about $30. Senior meal plans are also available. This program also accepts foodstamps. The church will host the second annual women's conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Doors open for registration, coffee and donuts at 8:30 a.m.

Topics will include: money management tips for tough times; how to cook a month's worth of meals; and what your kids are asking. Lunch will be include. Door prizes will be awarded and good bags.
