BENTON COUNTY — Timothy Randol Smith, 27, of Pea Ridge faces a computer child-pornography charge, a Class B felony, according to a probablecause affidavit from Benton County Circuit Court.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Wichita (Kan.) Police Department about allegations that a suspect living in Benton County sexually solicited a 14-year-old girl in Wichita, the affidavit states.
The mother of the girl told Wichita police her daughter met Smith on an online interactive game called World of Warcraft, and the two began speaking on MSN messenger, according to the affidavit.
The girl’s mother said she found conversations between her daughter and Smith that indicated Smithand her daughter were having online sex and that Smith had sent her daugh ter nude photographs of himself and video clips of himself masturbating, the affidavit states.
The girl’s mother also said Smith had enticed her daughter to get on a Webcam and take off her clothes, according to the affidavit.
BCSO deputies went Smith’s Christina Circle residence with a search warrant, and Smith answered the door and admitted to meeting the girl online and to sending her pictures of himself masturbating, the affidavit states.
Smith said the girl had sent pictures in which she flashed him once and danced around, and another time he had seen a picture of the girl naked from the waist down and recorded that session, according to the affidavit.
