— Pumpkin carving contest

A pumpkin carving contest will be held Friday, Oct. 23, at McDonald’s in Pea Ridge. Pumpkins must be on site by 6:30 p.m. Judging will begin at 7 p.m.

Prizes will be first place, $20 Wal-Mart gift card; second place, $10 Wal-Mart gift card; and third place, $5 Wal-Mart gift card. Pumpkins will be on display through Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Haunting at the Ridge

The Haunting at the Ridge, sponsored by the parents of the Pea Ridge Junior High School cheerleaders, will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 29-31 for at the corner of It’ll Do Road and Benton County Hwy. 40 in Pea Ridge.

Costume Contest

There will be Halloween festivities from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Movie Gallery, Pea Ridge. There will be free games such as apple bobbing and a cake walk, a costume contest, prizes, face painting and free food.

Museum has gifts

A free treat bag will be given to the first 100 children in costume under the age of 12 who tour the Pea Ridge Historical Society Museum in downtown Pea Ridge on Halloween from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Library gives treats

Treat bags will be given to children “trick or treating” from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Pea Ridge Community Library.

Illusionist to entertain

An illusionist, Randall Eller, with an evangelical message will be at First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Children are encouraged to come early to have their photograph taken in their costumes.

Trunk or Treat candy give away

The 9th annual Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church Trunk or Treat will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in the church parking lot. We will park in the parking lot, decorate our trunks with Halloween ghosts and goblins, make sure we have plenty of candy to give away and wait for the kids to come by.

Hallelujah Happening

GARFIELD — First Baptist Church, Garfield, Hallelujah Trunk or Treat Carnival from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.

Spook Trail

SELIGMAN, Mo. — Seligman Fire Protection District will host its 12th annual Spook Trail Oct. 23, 24, 30 and 31. Tickets will be available beginning at 8 p.m. until midnight. The charge is $5 per body, children under 5 are free. Concessions are available. The trail is located on State Line Road west of Seligman, Mo. Follow the signs, hope to scare you there!

Trunk or Treat

Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 4055 N. 2nd St., Rogers, Trunk or Treat will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be games, concessions and lots of candy. For information, call 621-9858.
