Spotlight on Seniors

— Devon Pollock

Defensive End/Guard

What position do you play? Defensive end and guard.

Where are you from? Lemoore, Calif. I’ve lived in Pea Ridge for five years. I would like to get back to California.

How many years have you played football in Pea Ridge? Three years.

Do you have plans after high school? College - DeVry University for computer technology.

Then what? Just hopefully get a job.

What do you do when you aren’t playing foot ball? Hang out with friends, drive around town. My parents don’t like that. I also like swimming.

Describe yourself in one word. Outgoing. (I was gonna say stud-licious, said onlooker Dustin Phy.)

What’s your most memorable moment so far playing football? The Greenland game last year, and I guess it happened with them this year, too. I just shot down the line, knocked the kid out, just laid him out. He was out for a good minute, that’s one of the best hits I’ve had.

Do you get a rush when that happens? Oh yeah.

What kind of goals do you have this year? I want an interception. And also to just pass with Bs.

What’s the most difficult team you guys have faced this year and why? I don’t even want to say Shiloh, but they’re number one in the state. Elkins really proved a challenge, they showed us we’re ready to turn this season around.

Take a guess for this year’s record. I’m going to say 5-5.
