Just a century ago Hebrew was a dead language, the Jews were scattered around the world, and Muslim Turks, who hated the Jews, controlled the land of Israel. Yet a world Zionist movement was formed; the Hebrew language lives again; the land came under British control in World War I; Britain gave the Jews a homeland; the Nazi holocaust drove Jews to Palestine; the United Nations partitioned Palestine into an Arab and a Jewish state; and in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, the Jews defeated a coalition of the very Arab states named in Scripture.

In addition to God returning the Jews to their Promised Land, He restored it the most productive land on earth. From George Gilder’s “The Israel Test,” we learn that whether driven by culture or genes, the average Jewish IQ is 10 points above average, and the proportion of Jews with IQs of 140 or higher is six times higher than normal. This higher IQ is not the decisive factor in overall Jewish achievement: Jews make up only three-tenths of one percent of the world’s population, but Jews have contributed 25 percent of notable human intellectual accomplishments in literature, chemistry, physics, agriculture and medicine. In the 21st century, Jews won 32 percent of the Nobel Prizes and 51 percent of Wolf Prizes in Physics. In America, where Jews make up only two percent of the population, they hold 40 percent of America’s Nobel Prizes.

“Israel is hated not for her vices but her virtues.”

The Jews prove that the God of the Bible is indeed the One who controls history and announces the end from the beginning. Since God has accomplished everything He predicted of Israel so far, we can rest assured that His Last Days prophecies will also come true: Israel will survive attacks from her surrounding nations, she will have another Temple, an anti-Christ will make a peace treaty with Israel, he will break the treaty and declare himself to be god, all the nations will come up against Israel, all Israel will accept Jesus as Messiah, He will return from heaven with His saints and rescue Israel before establishing His Kingdom on earth from Jerusalem.

Herman Wonk in “The Glory” tells of two Jewish generals watching a battle between Israelis and Egyptians across the Suez Canal in 1969. Looking up at the moon, one general said, “The Americans are walking on the moon. That must be the greatest event in history.” To which, General Moshe Dayan answered, “No the greatest event in history is that the Jews are back in their Land.” We can argue that the Jews missed the greatest event in history 2,000 years ago when they rejected the Jewish Messiah who came as the Saving Passover Lamb; however, Israel will accept Him when He returns as Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
