I teach seventh grade. I am a native of Natchez, Miss. I have been a teacher for 5 years. I have been with the Pea Ridge School District for 5 years. Something interesting about me is: I am a mother of three, one girl and a set of boy/girl twins, I dabble in photography in my spare time and have been married to my husband, Bill, for 11 years.

Something interesting about me is: I have been married to my husband for six years, but have only lived with him for three years, due to the two deployments he has served in Iraq.

I teach seventh grade. I am a native of Harrison, Ark. I have been a teacher for 3 years. I have been with the Pea Ridge School District for 3 years. Something interesting about me is: I just recently got married to my wife, Kathy.

I teach seventh grade. I am a native of Arkansas. I have been a teacher for 6 years. I have been with the Pea Ridge School District for 3 years. Something interesting about me is: My wife and I are having our first baby in January.

I teach seventh-grade literacy I am a native of Fayetteville, Ark. I have been a teacher for 6 years. I have been with the Pea Ridge School District for 4 years. Something interesting about me is: I have written a novel but have not tried to get it published.

My name is: Aaron Gaffigan.

I teach seventh grade. I am a native of Effingham, Ill. I have been a teacher for 5 years I have been with the Pea Ridge School District for 5 years. Something interesting about me is: I can play the guitar.

PEA RIDGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Mon., Nov. 30 — Hoagie sandwich, salad, assorted fruit, frozen fruit bar. Breakfast — Sausage biscuit.

Tues., Dec. 1 — Turkey and cheese wrap, pretzels, pickle spear, strawberry and banana cup. Breakfast — Oatmeal and toast.

Wed., Dec. 2 — Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with country gravy, black-eyed peas, roll. Breakfast — Poptarts.

Thurs., Dec. 3 — Taco salad,corn, crispito, tortilla chips. Breakfast — Cinnamon toast.

Fri., Dec. 4 — Stuffed crust pizza, tossed salad, fruit, cookie. Breakfast — Biscuit with gravy.

Salad bar and ala carte offered in junior high and high school. Milk served with all meals. All breakfasts are $1. Elementary and upper elementary lunches are $1.50; junior high and senior high lunches are $1.75.

GARFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Breakfast Grades K-5 Mon., Nov. 30 — Cereal, mini pancakes, peanut butter granola bar, apple juice, milk.

Kindergarten Lunch Mon., Nov. 30 — Charburger, French fries, baked beans, fruit cup, milk. Snack: Chocolate graham bears.

Lunch Grades 1-5 (grades 4 and 5 get second option) Mon., Nov. 30 — Charburger, French fries, baked beans, fruit cup, milk. Choice No. 2: BBQ rib sandwich.

Larson enlists

Private Vince Larson of Pea Ridge recently enlisted into the Arkansas Army National Guard. Larson has earned education benefits, including federal tuition assistance and the Montgomery G.I. Bill, valued at $49,844. He will attend basic training, followed by advanced individual training at Ft. Eustis, Va., as a motor transport operator. Upon returning to Arkansas, Larson will serve with 1st Battalion 142nd Forward Support Company in Bentonville.

He is a graduate of Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., and the son of Jody and Nancy Larson. Schools closed

Pea Ridge Schools will be closed the week of Nov. 23 to Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving.

Food drive

Pea Ridge High School is holding a food drive from Monday, Nov. 30, until Friday, Dec. 11, sponsored by JAG, Jobs for Arkansas Graduates. Deliver non-perishable, kidfriendly foods to the high school office dedicating to which first hour class for them to compete for a pizza party. Everyone can make a change in the Pea Ridge community.

Holiday cards for sale

The Pea Ridge Middle School Art Department still has 10 sets of holiday cards for sale. The cards were handmade by a seventh and eighth grade art class. Fifteen cards and envelopes sell for $7.50. Contact Mrs. Bruhin if you are interested. All money raised will support the middle school PTO.

Candy Grams

The PTO will be selling candy grams the week of Dec. 7 – 11.

PTO for high school

Pea Ridge High School would like to facilitate a Parent-Teacher Organization group. If interested in helping to organize a PTO for PRHS, contact Rhonda Daniels at rdaniels@prs. k12.ar.us.

The Parent Involvement Committee of Pea Ridge High School is asking parents to take a very short, online survey to help better serve the students’ parents. Go to the Pea Ridge Schools website, www.prs. k12.ar.us, and click on the High School page.

Semester Test Schedule

Semester tests have been scheduled for Dec. 17 and 18. The test schedule will be sent out later.

Pancake Breakfast

Pea Ridge High School AP Biology class will be holding an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, Dec. 19, at Applebee’s Restaurant at 528 N. 47th Street in Rogers. Admission is $5 per person and the money will go towards the upcoming trip. See any AP Biology student for tickets.

Winter Ball

The third annual Pea Ridge High School Winter Ball will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, at the high school.
