The Pea Ridge Primary School dedication and VFW flag ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Primary School campus in Pea Ridge. For more information, call the school at 451-8183.

Choir fundraiser

The Pea Ridge school choirs, in conjunction with Marvin's Food Saver, is sponsoring a grocery giveaway. Two certificates worth $100 each in groceries from Marvin's will be given to the winners the week before Thanksgiving. The choir parents are taking donations that will go to help the Middle and High School choirs with trip expenses for this year. Ash receives scholarship

Elizabeth Ash, daughter of Steve and Lawanda Ash and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommie L. Day and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Ash, was awarded the University Honors scholarship at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Ark.

Ash will be a 2010 graduate of Pea Ridge High School and plans to major in Early Childhood Education. She is the National Honors Society president, class vice-president, drum major, FCCLA president and a member of the National Youth Evangelistic Team.

To be eligible to University Honors, a student must have a minimum ACT composite score of 28 and a cumulative high school grad point average of 3.5 or higher. Arkansas Tech awards a maximum of 25 of these academic scholarships each year. The University Scholarship provides up to $5,300 per semester and is renewable for up to eight semesters.

PTO for high school

Pea Ridge High School would like to facilitate a Parent-Teacher Organization group. If interested in helping to organize a PTO for PRHS, contact Rhonda Daniels at rdaniels@prs. k12.ar.us.
