Over Labor Day, a large portion of the parents of USAF Academy cadets attended an USAF Academy parents weekend. There in Colorado Springs, parents and families had a chance to attend classes with their cadet, tour the Academy grounds, attend squadron gatherings, watch a Cadet Wing Parade, view a show of the Wings of Blue, the nationally recognized parachuting team; and experienced a segment of the nationally recognized USAF Academy Soaring Team’s show.

All in all, the weekend was a much deserved opportunity for cadets to enjoy time with their families at the academy as well as a break from the usual Academy life. The USAF Academy cadets have strenuous academic schedules, taking over twenty hours of credits per semester as well as the meeting the demands of military leadership and physical fitness requirements.
