Head-on collisions injure nine

— Two head-on collisions last week on Arkansas Highway 94 injured nine people.

Three people were taken to two area hospitals by ambulance Tuesday evening after a two-vehicle wreck on Arkansas Highway 94 North.

Adam G. Freeman, 20, Pea Ridge, was northbound when he lost control of the 2002 Ford Explorer he was driving.

Freeman attempted tostop for a line of traffic stopped behind a leftturning vehicle in the northbound lane, ran into the ditch on the right shoulder of the roadway, crossed back onto the roadway and into the southbound lane striking a southbound vehicle.

The southbound vehicle was a 2001 Mercedes Kompressor driven by Allison H. Parmenter, 30.

She and her passenger, Kami Parmenter, 14, both of Pea Ridge, were transported to Mercy Medical Center, Rogers, by Pea Ridge Ambulance.

Freeman was transported to Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, by Bentonville Ambulance.

The incident was investigated by Pea Ridge Police.

Freeman was cited for no insurance.

On Christmas Day, two vehicles collided on State Hwy. 94 just west of the high school.

Jamie Sims, 22, Berryville, and Esther Kimball, 23, Rogers, were westbound in a 2001 Durango when Sims lost control of the vehicle on the ice. They wre transported to Mercy Medical Center by Rogers ambulance.

Gregory Sikes, 39, of Bella Vista, was eastbound in a 2007 Jeep. His passengers were Barbara Sikes, 39; Ashley Jackson, 17; and Chris Jackson, 21. They were transported to Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, by Pea Ridge and Bentonville ambulances.
