— Kip Kelly Small Forward

What position do you play? Small forward. Don’t you think that’s kind of ironic? Yeah, I’m usually the tallest guy on the court.

How many years have you played basketball in Pea Ridge? Since before I was a kindergartner. I started when I was 4 in the Boys and Girls Club. Do you have plans after high school? College basketball, pursue an education, get a history degree and coaching. What other sports do you play? Just golf. Which one do you like better? Basketball. I’m better at basketball.

What are you looking forward to most about graduating? I would say not having to go to school but I know I’m going to have to go for four more years. I guess a better school schedule throughout college, like going three days a week.

What’s the most challenging team that you have faced or will face this season? Our first big challenge was Rogers. Definitely in conference play it will be Farmington. They have their starting five coming back and are predicted to win state.

What do you do in your spare time? I’m in the gym a lot, and I like video games. I like Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2.

What kind of goals do you have for yourself this year? I want to try to limit my technicals, I’m known for getting technicals. I’ve only had one this year. And win district and conference, then go deep in state.

What’s your favorite thing about playing basketball? I just love to play, it’s something I’ve always done and it’s become a habit. And when it’s a big game — the crowd, especially at home.

If you were a car, what kind would you be and why? I’ll use a quote from a movie: “I’d be a Ferrari cause I like to go fast.”

Anything else you want to ad? This is a shoutout to my best friend at Blackhawk Grill, Joe Bangs. SPORTS CALENDAR — BASKETBALL
