Monday, Dec. 7

12:36 p.m. Received a report of an unattended death at a residence on Barris Lane and discovered that a 59-year-old white male had apparently committed suicide.

5 p.m. A resident on Kings Lane reported an accident from 7:45 a.m. involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. A 15-year-old male reported that as he was walking to school a blue van ran over his foot when he was crossing McCulloch and Weston streets.The investigation led to citing Franklin Cruse, 29, Pea Ridge, for failing to stop for a pedestrian.

Tuesday, Dec. 8

9:37 p.m. A two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of White Oak Station at the corner of North Curtis Avenue and Slack Street involving vehicles driven by Darin Wright, 39, Bentonville, and Trenton Talburt, 20, Bentonville.Talburt was cited for imprudent driving and driving with an obstructed windshield.

Saturday, Dec. 12

5:50 a.m. A break-in was reported at Hudson’s Diner, Lee Town Road.The back door of the business was broken open and the cash register was missing. An undetermined amount of cash was in the cash register.The incident is under investigation.

1 p.m. Several headstones were reported knocked over at Pea Ridge Cemetery,Weston Street. It appeared that most of the headstones were not damaged, other than being knocked over.

Santa in town

Santa Claus will be at Community First Bank, Pea Ridge, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

The community is invited to drop by and have their photographs taken with Santa.

Food Drive

The City of Pea Ridge will hold the 10th Annual Food Drive through Friday, Dec. 18. Last year, 130 families in need received food baskets.

Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 29, Pea Ridge, AR 72751, or dropped off at Pea Ridge Water Department at 821 Slack St., next to Dollar General.

Cash donations will be accepted, as well as traditional Christmas foods.
