— The library would like to welcome its newest board member, Mrs. Dottie Adraiano. She has volunteered to serve on our board and we are very appreciative to have her.

She and her husband, John, live in Garfield. Dottie is helpful and enthusiastic and we look forward to her input and assistance.

I would like to thank Dottie, board members Diane, Peggy and Kristi along with Betty Sanders, John Escue, Debbie Tillman and herchildren, for all of the home baked goodies they brought to the Christmas Open House on Dec. 10. Even though it was a very cold day, we had many people come in to check out books, say “Hello” and get a sweet and a cup of hot cider. Ihope everyone enjoyed themselves.

I want to remind everyone that the library will be closed Thursday, Dec. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a little longer than normal.

It will also be closed on Dec. 24 and it will be open until 3 p.m. on Dec. 31.

We have the latest new books that came out for Christmas and there are a number of children’s books right now.

If you have a favorite book, please call and put iton the reservation list so that you will get your turn.

Any books due on Dec. 24 will not be due until the next day open, Dec. 29.

We are running a Christmas special on our cookbooks. The price is $12 or two for $20. They make great gifts!

Library hours are 4 p.m.

to 8 p.m., Tuesday; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday; 10 a.m.

to 5 p.m., Thursday, closed at noon for lunch. The library phone is 451-8442.

Hope to see you soon.
