— Bernitta Ellene Brown

GATEWAY - Bernitta Ellene Brown, 68, of Gateway died Dec. 6, 2009, inFayetteville. She was born June 17, 1941, in Seligman, Mo., to Woodrow and Virginia Roller Skelton.

She formerly worked at Fuji photo lab.

Survivors include her husband, James; two daughters, Cheryl Behrends and husband, Ricky, of Gateway, and Pami Hudgins and husband, Clay, of Berryville; two brothers; a sister; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Fridayat Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Private burial will be in Seligman Cemetery.

Jerry Luper

Jerry Wayne Luper, 54, of Garfield, died Monday, Nov. 30, at his home. He was born March 14, 1955, in Springdale, Ark., to Virgil James Luper and Vicie Jane McGarrah.

He worked in construction, enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, cutting wood and grilling. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Louse Littrell and Mary Boyd.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Luper of the home;

four sons, Bobby Scott andwife, Katrena, of Huntsville, Jacob Luper and wife, Amber, Bradley Luper and wife, Vickie, all of Garfield, and Michael Luper of the home; three brothers, David Luper of Huntsville, Harold Luper and Glen Luper, both of Springdale; one sister, Bonnie Walker of Goshen;

five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 3, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Graveside service was Friday, Dec. 4, at Ruddick Cemetery with sister Dorothy George officiating.

Jewell Patton

Jewell Marie Patton, 87, of Garfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born July 28, 1922, in Jacket, Mo., to Charley Henry Arnold and Eva Jane Rector.

She worked for Prier Brass at Independence, Kan., for several years, making water faucets and fittings. She moved to this area in 1989 from Independence to make her home. She enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Herman Henry Arnold; and one sister, Dorothy Evelyn Morgan.

Survivors include one sister, Thelma Irene Pickering of Garfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 4, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial was Saturday, Dec.

5, at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR, 72762.

Robert ‘Bob’ Tallman

Robert Mark Tallman, 59, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, Dec. 7, at his home. He was born July 16, 1950, at Catskill, N.Y., to Raymond Herbert Tallman and Elizabeth “Betty” Kortz.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force where he was a metals technology craftsman for 13 years anda pneudraulic sytems apprentice for four years. He married Judy Lou Tomlinson Nov. 14, 1980, was a mechanic and enjoyed inventing things. He was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Tallman of the home; two daughters, Toni Tallman of Pea Ridge and Beth Helmericks and husband, Derek, of Fairbanks, Alaska; and one sister, Rita Scovello and husband, Vince, of Albany, New York.

Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. No services are planned at this time.
