Within a few hours, Pea Ridge police had made three drug-related arrests Thursday night and early Friday morning. A large bag of marijuana was recovered from a vehicle searched during a routine traffic stop shortly after midnight early Friday, Nov. 27. Two Pea Ridge men were arrested. The driver, Shane Hobbs, 22, was arrested for being a felon in possession of firearms or certain items and driving on a suspended driver’s license. Cody Garner, 20, Pea Ridge, the passenger, was arrested for felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Police said this is the largest quantity of marijuana confiscated recently. Three hours previously, another local man was arrested for drug-related charges. At 9:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, Joshua Lee, 22, was arrested after a short pursuit and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license, fleeing, possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.

4:30 p.m. Dog bite, dog owned by family members, no charges filed.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

12:33 a.m.While on patrol, police found a wallet, a coat and a sack on Slack Street. Items were picked up by police, the owner was notified and items were later retrieved by the owner. 4:08 p.m. A resident on Luke Street reported criminal mischief in which two vehicles parked at the residence were scratched sometime during the previous night.

Friday, Nov. 27

4:15 p.m. A traffic stop on East PIckens and Bussy Lane resulted in the arrest of William Stark, 48, Bentonville for DWI II, speeding and drinking on the highway.

Sunday, Nov. 29

9:44 p.m. A report of an attempted suicide by a 14-year-old male at a residence on South Curtis Avenue.The subject was transported to a local hospital by Pea Ridge Fire and EMS.

Firefighters feted

GARFIELD — The annual appreciation dinner for the firefighters and auxiliary for Northeast Benton County Volunteer Fire Department is set for Sunday, Dec. 6, in the community room of Station No. 1 for NEBCO.
