— Got Game?

The Springdale Chicks are looking for competitive fastpitch softball players to fill spots on the fall 2009/spring 2010 rosters. Participation is free for our 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U & 16U travel teams.

Players should be committed to the sport, have strong fastpitch skills, possess the drive to succeed with a team and be able to fully participate in team activities which take place all year.

Fall ball in Pea Ridge

The Pea Ridge Cal Ripken League is now accepting registrations for their Fall Baseball League which will begin on Saturday, Sept. 12, and should run through the month of October.

Games will be played on the weekends. The age groups are: 5 & 6 Year Old (T-Ball), and 7 & 8 Year Old (Machine Pitch).

The cost is $30 per player and the deadline to enter is Sept. 1.

. Razorback Aquatic Club

The Razorback Aquatic Club, a year-round swim club, will be holding tryouts for new swimmers on Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Tryouts will be held at the Jones Center in Springdale from 6-7 p.m. each evening.

RAC is also offering swim lessons through the RAC AquaHawgs Swim School this fall. Lessons will be held at the Jones Center on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The first session will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
