2009 PEA RIDGE FALL CLEAN UP

— The second annual Pea Ridge Fall Clean Up will begin Tuesday, Sept. 15. The city will NOT prove curbside pickup.

Dumpsters will be located at the city property behind the former hardware store. All participants need to provide a form of identification and proof of city residency (i.e. current paid water bill).

Drop off hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The following items will be accepted for disposal: furniture, stoves, dishwashers, bicycles, compressed gas cylinders, car batteries, fire extinguishers, washers and dryers, leaves and brush, air conditioners and refrigerators (if freon has been removed by a certified technician), compressors (accepted as separate items), fluorescent bulbs, water-based cleaners, paints, chemicals, oil, oil filters, tires (four per household), anti-freeze, aerosols, flammable liquids and solids, pesticides, etc.

The following items will NOT be accepted: household trash, construction material, anything containing freon or items too large to fit in dumpster.

Maximum of three trips per household, no exceptions.

Brush needs to be checked at location stated above, then taken to the Fire Department substation.

Items should be separated into three categories: metal, refuse and brush.
