LITTLE ROCK — Looking to hone your bowhunting skills? Classes are being formed to cover the International Bowhunter Education Course. Graduates will receive a bowhunter education card from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Once a bowhunter has received an IBEP card, it is good for life and recognized internationally.
The class will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at White River State Park Visitor Center in Bull Shoals.
All classes are free of charge thanks to your support of the 1/8 Cent Conservation Sales Tax, but registration is required as the class size is limited. To pre-register, e-mail [email protected].
Students who prefer to take the IBEP class online may do so by visiting www.nbef.org and clicking the distance learning button. There is a $20 charge for the online test and you must attend an IBEP Field Day to complete the class requirements.
Field Days are scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Veterans Memorial Park in Rogers, and 8 a.m.- noon Saturday, Sept. 12 in Bull Shoals.
